Hello everyone! I am Tian Yu Zhuang. An international student from China. I will be 26 years old in a few months. Age is my weakness. My hometown is Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, the oldest city in China. By the way, it is located in the very center of China! I may be in Victoria or back home this semester, still on the fence. My college major is PAAS, and I’ll probably graduate after next spring semester. My favorite subject is Asian History so that I can get a different perspective and think about my own culture. The most interesting thing I did last year would have to be attending my best friend’s wedding in China. In Asian culture, it’s probably time to get married at that age too, I don’t know. But when I saw my best friend’s wedding, I was still very happy and heartwarming. And this year I saw their very cute babies in their social media apps, and I felt so happy inside! This summer or next year when I graduate, I might bring some gifts or something from Canada to this baby. I hope to improve my teamwork skills and social skills from this class. I prefer to be quiet and alone, but I also really enjoy working with people in a group to complete a project. It enhances my sense of collective honor!
